Hebrews 10:23, “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.”
The last few weeks, over and over again I’ve seen and experienced the faithfulness of God. I’ve seen it in my own life, in the life of my family, in the lives of my friends and in people I know from afar. I’ve witnessed dreams begin to take shape and promises fulfilled and I just stand in awe.
God’s faithfulness is certain, but often our trust is uncertain. When we can’t see, rationalize or make sense of our situations, we allow doubt to creep in and begin to settle in areas where God is desperately trying to get us to surrender and trust Him. It’s scary and uncomfortable to trust when you don’t know the outcome, but that’s what faith is…trusting in what you believe, not always what you can see.
Psalm 100:5, “For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.”
We have a responsibility as a believer to tell others about God’s faithfulness in our life. Why is that important, you ask? Well, it’s important to tell others what God has done in our lives because it helps to build their faith but it also builds our faith as we remember all of the things God has done for us.
When you experience God’s faithfulness, you can’t help but be excited and tell others. God’s works are good and His timing is perfect. When you have the awesome opportunity to experience or witness His works come to fruition in His timing in your life and in the lives of those you love, there is NO better feeling! You just can’t keep it to yourself!! You begin to see God in a whole new light…you see the purpose in every encounter, every decision, every delay, every yes and every no. You can look back and retrace God’s hand in all of your experiences leading up to obtaining what you’ve believed God for. It reminds you how intimately God cares for you, every detail of your life woven together specifically for a divine purpose. We see our lives in the moments we experience but God sees the masterpiece that is our entire story. He knows the roads we need (not necessarily want) to take in order to allow us to arrive safely at our destiny. He loves us enough not to give it to us before we are ready to receive it. His timing, His will, His purpose…it takes unwavering faith and complete trust in Him, but never forget…He who promised IS faithful.
Today, whatever you’re believing God for, don’t settle…don’t waver…press in, believe again, and trust. Don’t let the dreams and desires that God has put in your heart to die…allow His Holy Spirit to breathe fresh life into them. If God placed them there, He will see to it that you experience it!
