Hi all, I’ve missed you. Slowly life is settling down and I’ve spent the last several months just reflecting on God’s goodness, His faithfulness and trying to understand His purposes and plans. Well you should know I’ve conceded to trying to figure things out 🙂 I just trust Him…His timing and His ways. Today in my quiet time I was reflecting on a scripture, Isaiah 64:8, “Yet, O Lord, you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter, we are all the work of your hand.” I began to jot down some thoughts and I’d like to share them with you.
God’s glory is beyond words – His authority to be revered. He is gracious but not naive. We should approach Him accordingly because we are nothing without Him. His view of us is outwardly but from within. Our heart is His concern but He watches closely our actions. He reaches down yet IN to our souls. We are moved by His spirit, not by self-satisfaction or accolades. Our compassion is based on His character – our words to be poured out like wine, sweet to the taste. But watch your words, because like wine, they can damage…leading to lies, regret and destruction. Wisdom knows the line and does not cross it. A lifter, a lover, a source of encouragement, a helper and a friend – that is Jesus – that is me, or who I strive to be. I’ll fall short – thankful for His grace – never abusing it, yet always needing it.
Today, be reminded God is faithful in every way and in every season. He brings healing and restoration when you didn’t even realize you needed it. He gently reminds us, as we seek Him, that He is ever present…even if you feel distant. God’s plans are just that…HIS…but they are good and the way He works things out in us is for our good. Embrace where you are and settle in to the journey.
Joyce Meyer wrote a book, “Enjoying Where You Are On The Way To Where You’re Going,” It wasn’t only a great read but it’s also a great reminder. Don’t get discouraged, stand firm and in due time…you WILL reap a harvest!
Be blessed today…
